I wrote, directed and starred in my very first commercial when I was only 12 years old. Granted there were no cameras, crew or even craft services present at the time, but that didn’t stop my little cousin and myself from jumping in and out of a pool in Palm Springs with Diet Cokes in hand yelling, “Diet Coke! Drink it!” While the concept, if you can call it one, was certainly terrible, I think back and kind of admire it’s simplicity and boldness.
Here I am many years later and while my conceptual thinking, writing, and creative leadership skills have much improved, three things still remain the same – I believe that ideas and the words that go with them need to be simple yet bold, I have a lot of fun doing what I do, Palm Springs isn’t my cup of tea.
Originally from Chicago, I have spent my career working at various advertising agencies in New York City, and most recently in-house at Realtor.com and Bright MLS, creating integrated, award-winning campaigns across multiple channels for both B2C and B2B markets.
I currently live in London with my lovely wife, two rambunctious boys, and cute-as-hell french bulldog. When I’m not working you can find me spending time with my family, watching movies, reading (mostly non-fiction), learning about history, playing video games, and trying to convince anyone who will listen that Chicago hot dogs are far better than New York hot dogs. It’s a fact.
